San Diego Century - Description:
The San Diego Century is a scenic back country century in north San Diego County. The ride is laid out as three loops connected by two out-and-back sections. A part of the course is the same as the Tour de Poway.
Starting in Encinitas, the ride heads north-east to Escondido, and then south-west to Rancho Santa Fe. From here the route leads east to Poway and Ramona, the eastern turnaround point. Between Poway and Ramona, Highway 67 crosses Mount Woodson from both sides (passing Dos Picos Park Road, the highest point). Finally the ride leads west again towards Solana Beach and the finish line in Encinitas.

San Diego Century - Personal Notes:
We rode this century with some of the Renegades, including Barbara B., Susan T., Ryan P., and Tom R. The day was very hot, and I was still recovering from a severe cold, so I felt pretty weak.
