Gran Fondo Beverly Hills is a beautiful and challenging ride through the Santa Monica Mountains.
The ride starts on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and follows Wilshire Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard to Pacific Coast Highway. After a few miles on PCH, the route enters the Santa Monica Mountains. It climbs Topanga Canyon followed by Old Topanga Canyon, which turns into Mulholland Highway.
Mulholland Highway leads up the famous Rock Store climb (photos). Kanan Road leads down to Agoura Hills, passing through two tunnels.
Agoura Road turns into Las Virgenes Road, which turns into Piuma Road, the timed hillclimb. Schueren Road ascends to Stunt Road, which descends to Mulholland Highway.
The route then passes through an urban area, including the cities of Woodland Hills, Encino, and Sherman Oaks. Sepulveda Boulevard climbs to Mulholland Drive, and Coldwater Canyon leads back down to Beverly Hills.
