Bernd Straehle

I grew up in Germany, studied in Germany, Switzerland, and California, and have been working in California for many years. These days, I split my time between California and Mexico.

Cycling has always been part of my life. I commuted by bike in Europe, then took up triathlon and road cycling in America. What began as fitness became a gateway to exploration.

I was drawn to long rides, mountain climbs, and roads less traveled. Over time, an appetite for adventure led me to mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, climbing, and mountaineering.
